"People with chronic disabilities
such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, MS, cerebral palsy,
muscular dystrophy and arthritis have shown a gradual improvement in
the condition and also in quality of life. It is always worth trying
the Bowen Technique because in many cases it has been known to
trigger surprising and unexpected recoveries when nothing else has
worked."

Before I became a
Bowen Therapist, my daughter was
treated for scoliosis and the
related pain you get from that condition by another Bowen
practitioner. I was so impressed with the results that I trained in
Bowen Therapy myself so I could treat her whenever I like.
I now have my own clinic and it
gives me pleasure to be
specializing in Scoliosis.
I am still amazed at the results we
achieve after a growth spurts.
Bowen does not cure scoliosis, but
corrects the following:
1. All related pain -
neck, knee, leg, foot, back, shoulder &
headaches
2. Even up leg length
3. Corrects the shoulder
balance
4. Helps straighten the
spine and decrease the hump on the shoulder
blade.
5. Relieves breathing
constraints, which you often get with
scoliosis if the spine is rotating
and pushing onto the lungs.
Over a period of 3
years we have been able to get rid of any related pain,
(e.g.
back/neck pain, leg/knee/feet pain), breathing difficulties and
also there is a noticeable
difference to her shoulder alignment after
a treatment.
Bowen hasn't cured
my daughter of her scoliosis...but it certainly has given
her a much better quality of life
that is pain free.
With regular
maintenance scoliosis can be maintained and
corrected. Each person will respond
differently and some will have
remarkable results (especially at
the early stages of scoliosis) and
others will at least get a lot of
relief.
