Feeling
Better With Fibromyalgia
|
Here are seven primary
recommendations for people with FMS. Some of the treatment
suggestions come from a rheumatologist who uses an integrative
treatment approach and encourages his FMS patients to work on as many
of these fronts as possible.
While there's still no
magic bullet to cure FMS, it's important to recognize that you can
get better and you should work with a doctor who believes similarly.

The
Bowen Technique and Frozen Shoulder
|
A research study took
volunteers independently diagnosed as having ‘frozen shoulder’ and
divided them into two groups. One group was given The Bowen Technique,
whilst the other placebo group was given a series of moves that they
believed to be Bowen. The trial was blind, meaning patients did not
know which treatment they were getting. None of the patients had been
treated by a Bowen therapist before and both groups were given the
same aftercare.
The improvement was significantly greater for the treatment group than
the placebo group. Virtually 70% of those having Bowen experienced
significant improvement. These results are astonishing, especially
given that all participants received only three treatments.

When most people think
of medicine, they visualize something material like a pill to be
popped, a liquid to be swallowed or an injection to be endured. Some
might also consider surgery, tests or procedures to be medicine since
these high-tech maneuvers can help diagnose and treat disease. But one
of the most potent forms of medicine isn't something you can buy at a
pharmacy or get at the doctor's office. No one else can give you this
medicine or perform its magic for you. It's movement, simple physical
activity that can have profound healing effects. And it's something
only you can do for yourself.

Overcome
Neck and Back Pain -
BOOK REVIEW
|

Overcome
Neck and Back Pain
Kit Laughlin
spent years suffering from back pain, and in search of relief.
He even traveled to Japan where he found the solution. Using the
principles of hatha yoga, he developed a combination of Eastern and
Western medicine that provides a way to stop back pain and even
protect oneself from future injury.
Through clear,
instructive photos and easy-to-follow instructions, Overcome Neck
& Back Pain shows the beginner how to use stretching,
strengthening and relaxation to end the pain. It also provides
instruction in more advanced techniques, with an explanation of the
principles behind the movements.
"A straight
forward practical guide for dealing with chronic back pain. This book
is written in plain language so is also an excellent
reference/resource for back pain sufferers as well as practitioners.
Kit Laughlin's justification of his approach to treatment and review
of literature is the best read I've had on back pain treatment."

Effective Pain Relief
From Mother Nature's Medicine Chest
|
Herbs are one of the
oldest and most effective pain relievers on the planet.
If you've ever eaten at an Indian
restaurant, you've already made the acquaintance of one pain-relieving
herb - turmeric. Turmeric has perhaps the strongest
anti-inflammatory activity of all the medicinal herbs and has eve been
compared to NSAIDs in terms of efficacy. Another
traditional remedy from India is Boswellia serrata. Its
active agents, boswellic acids, have been found to shrink inflamed
tissue, improve the blood supply to the affected area, and promote
repair of local blood vessels damaged by inflammation. (READ

Miracle
Pain Relief - Video Review
|

People suffering from pain and stress-related disorders can now reduce their dependence on painkillers, thanks to a revolutionary breakthrough method of pain relief from Australia called the Bowen Technique, which is detailed in this 75-minute training video produced by Gerri Shapiro, MS Ed. Gerri is a health professional who knows first-hand about the agony of back pain and sciatica. For 25 years she suffered from back pain so severe she was willing to try anything to get relief. But after just three sessions of the Bowen Technique, her back pain was history, she says.
A light touch approach to pain relief, the Bowen Technique boasts an 85 percent success rate. It moves away from heavy pressure, cracking, and needles, to a slow and fluid series of movements. "It's hard to believe that such a gentle and non-invasive touch can produce such dynamic results," says Shapiro. This breakthrough healing method provides significant pain relief that can last for months or even years with just on to three sessions. It can quickly and effectively speed healing and offers relief from back pain, headaches, neck pain, whiplash, arthritis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, and much more.
This amazing healing technique is gentle, safe and easy to learn: there is only one basic move which is applied with slight modifications successively to selected areas of the back and legs. This video teaches through demonstration exactly how easy it is to learn the technique and use it for relief on friends and family, and it’s prefect for beginners as no previous health or massage training is required.
