Migraine
Headaches - Food and Diet
|
One of the frequent
causes of migraine is food. Determine food allergies by fasting
for a week, then adding one food at a time to your diet.
Reactions can occur from twenty minutes to two weeks after ingesting
the irritating food. The most common allergens associated with
migraines are cow's milk, wheat (gluten), chocolate, eggs, oranges and
the additive MSG.

Bowen
May Work When Nothing Else Does
|
Three years ago,
Jennie, age 26, was leaning back against a balcony railing when it
gave way. She fell 15 feet and landed on her head and left
shoulder. X-rays showed multiple vertebral fractures.
Medical specialists told her her nerves had been damaged.
No one could offer her any relief. Her
pain was constant and totally debilitating. As a result, she was always tired and was
virtually an invalid. She had constant headaches with neck and
shoulder pain. She also had pain in her lower back and buttocks
which radiated down both her legs to her feet. She was taking up to
16 painkillers a day. She
was terrified to get any type of treatment for fear it would cause
further damage. But
she agreed to try the Bowen Technique because she was told it was so
gentle and that she would barely feel the touch. After
her first session she felt very light-headed so she had to lie down
for another 15 minutes . When
she stood up, she had no back, neck or shoulder pain and her headache
was gone. But she still had pain in her buttocks radiating down to
her ankles. The
next day she was pain free above the buttocks, with no headache, but
the sciatica down her leg was worse. On the 3rd day Jennie was
in agony, but was told she would have to wait at least one week before
she could get another Bowen session However,
on the 4th day, she awoke totally pain free. She was exhausted
and had to spend the entire day in bed. She felt dizzy and
strange and was aware of changes going on inside her body. But
she has been well ever since.

simplest of things! Whatever sounds good... something you've
found that nurtures you... a hot bubble bath at night with a candle and
soft music... getting a weekly massage or taking a walk with a
friend....
