Neck
Pain and Natural Pain Management
|
There is no
such thing as a typical pain in the neck. Neck pain can be
caused by injuries like whiplash as well as everyday strains like
hunching over a computer monitor. Or neck pain can be a warning
of a more serious problem.
As we age,
neck pain is inevitable and a natural phenomenon. Years of
swiveling your vertebrae (neck bones) and the cartilage that cushions
it (discs) creates wear and tear on their flexibility.

Baby Boomers' Knees
Reach Middle Age
|
The "baby
boom" generation born between 1946 and 1964 is discovering middle
age, and along with it knee problems made worse - or at least more
obvious - by lifestyles that stay vigorous well into the later years.
There are nearly 77
million baby boomers, and a large number of them are trying to
reconcile their desire to stay active with the fact that they're
starting to see the onset of conditions that affect their knees and
other joints.

Getting
A Grip On Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
|
Carpal tunnel syndrome
(CTS) is perhaps the most far-reaching musculoskeletal disorder in the
U.S. IT touches the lives of millions of people - estimates put
the number at about 3.7% of the population - and costs untold amounts
of pain and suffering as well as billions of dollars in lost
production. Dramatic
grown in the identification and treatment of CTS in the past
half-century has revealed a critical need for accurate diagnostic
techniques, better understanding of the causes of the disorder, and
more "hands-on" research into effective prevention
practices. (READ

Bowen
Technique and Cerebral Palsy
|
Jamie is only 2 years
old, but until now he has not been able to climb, especially on the
couches at home. He would wiggle on his chest to get up, and
would fall over a lot. He couldn't really run and wiggled when
he walked because his ankles turned in. He looks fine, though,
and is a very intelligent little boy. After
one Bowen treatment his mother noticed he wasn't falling over as much
and he was able to lift his legs higher than usual. After the
second treatment, he was climbing over the furniture and running
around at the supermarket. He hardly fell over at all. He
has now had 5 Bowen treatments and is doing incredibly well. His
muscles are more relaxed. He can do karate kicks now with his
brothers and sisters, touch his nose with his toes and one of his
ankles has straightened out. He is also sleeping much better. He
hardly ever falls over now. His mother noted that the changes in
him have been remarkable.

Your
Body's Many Cries for Water
As
a result of extensive research into the role of water in the body, the
author, a medical doctor, believes that he has found chronic
dehydration to be the cause of many conditions including asthma,
allergies, arthritis, angina, migraine headaches, hypertension, raised
cholesterol, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, depression,
and diabetes in the elderly. According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, the body
possesses many different thirst signals.
A
dry mouth is not a reliable indicator of your body's water needs. He
describes a variety of more reliable ones, and helps you learn to
understand when your body is calling for water. In this way, he claims
you can prevent, treat, and cure a variety of conditions of ill
health, at no cost, with what he calls nature's miracle medicine:
Water.

Natural Solutions For Pain Relief

Consider acupuncture - a safe,
natural therapy that has a well-documented ability to relieve the pain
of conditions as varied as carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches,
arthritis and fibromyalgia....
While no one yet has satisfactorily
explained how magnets work, one theory is that they enhance blood flow
to an injured area, which would predictably decrease inflammation and
speed up healing.....
If you prefer topical pain
relief....there is DMSO, Capsaicin, Petetran+Plus...etc....

Fibromyalgia
Relief At Your Fingertips
|
There is compelling research that the Bowen Technique may be effective in relieving the painful symptoms of
fibromyalgia.
In a study of twenty patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia conducted by Dr. Jo Anne Whitaker at the American College of
Rheumatology, almost all participants experienced various degrees of relief which lasted from a few days to several weeks.
Most reported immediate relief following a Bowen treatment. For some, repeated Bowen therapy maintained complete clinical remission.
"As the success with the Bowen Technique is in most cases so astonishing, people seeking an explanation as to what it is prior to receiving treatment often think you are some incredible charlatan making wild claims when you give an explanation. But it is true. Clients who present with both acute and chronic pain, having often sought in vain treatment from a variety of other experts and specialists, are consistently free of their problems within a very short time by using Bowen. In fact, most clients require only 2 or 3 sessions to achieve long term benefits."
Dr. Michael Buckmann
